Hip-hop/electronic producer Felix Snow is best known for his glitch pop
melodies and his free-for-all approach to vocal manipulation. He really
came into his own while studying music at New York University, where he
met Alejandro Ghersi (aka Arca), who taught him the ins and outs of
Ableton. Soon after he graduated, Snow signed a publishing deal with
Warner, leading to production work with numerous pop acts including
Leona Lewis, SZA, Nicole Scherzinger, Gallant, and Rita Ora. Around
2014, Snow reached out to David Singer-Vine on Twitter, and together
they attempted to launch a project called Momma, although after it
failed they parted ways. However, fate would bring the pair back
together, as they were both asked to work with singer Kiiara on her
single "Gold" in 2015. The creative process worked so well this time
around that they ended up launching their own record label and
production company, EFFESS Records. Further cementing their mutual
creative vision, Snow and Vine formed a pop trio by the name of Terror
Jr., featuring an additional member on vocals; although their female
vocalist is referred to as "Lisa," her identity initially remained a
secret. In 2017, Snow released a collaborative EP, No Winter Without
Snow, alongside fellow genre-defying -- and aptly monikered -- artist
Wintertime.
