Pop duo Loote was formed by the production team of singer/songwriters Jackson Foote and Emma Lov Block. The New York-based pair were performers in their own right before meeting in college. Block, a pianist and guitarist from a young age, started her career writing jingles for toy commercials and children's television networks while still attending university. She was connected with Foote for a group project and their professional relationship continued outside of the classroom. Under the guidance of their professor -- the producer Carl Sturkin (Rihanna, *NSYNC, Christina Aguilera) -- they formed Loote and signed with Universal Music in 2015. Together, they wrote "No Promises" with Lauv for Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato and remixed Shawn Mendes' "Mercy." While working with singer Natalie La Rose, they released their own single, the tropical-tinged pop song "High Without Your Love" in 2017. |
