Before following in the footsteps of dad Billy Ray, sisters Miley and
Brandi, and brother Trace by becoming a musician, Noah Cyrus started
acting when she was three years old. Roles on TV shows such as Doc and
Hannah Montana and films including Mostly Ghostly led to Cyrus providing
the voice of Ponyo in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki's
2008 anime film of the same name and singing the film's theme song with
Frankie Jonas. Eventually, Cyrus turned her love of harmonizing with her
dad into a full-fledged singing career. After signing a deal with Barry
Weiss' Records label, she released her debut single, "Make Me (Cry),"
in November 2016. A collaboration with U.K. singer/producer Labrinth,
the song charted on the Billboard Hot 100, and appeared on her 2017
debut long-player, NC-17.
